Our Poetry Board Code

Credits

This project was created by Girls Who Code Norfolk, Slover Library. We are a group of middle and high school girls who develop our coding skills while creating community service projects.

We made this project using Scratch block-based programming language, a Makey Makey board, and an illustrated poster board.

The poems are recited by us, and we coded the sound effects. The poems were written by Kenn Nesbitt, Former Children’s Poet Laureate (2013-15), from his collection on Poetry4kids.com.  The poems were coded by Mackenzie, Lauren, Faith, Sasha, Soleil, and MiKenzie.
